Ok Ok yall I admit it’s our fault:

First we complain about how tired we were party after party, we would go till 4am. From house music all night long at Clique and Warehouse too hip-hop at Dragon Room and Funky Buddha. We would sleep our day away to only get up and go party at 10:30pm (that was early so you didn’t have to pay to get in). So yes yes, you all created the day party so you could pump vodka in your veins till 6pm then feel better about yourselves then we did. But the look of the night party was a bit different, yes when the lights came on the person may of became a 2 on the point scale, but at least we talked to one another and guys actually used pick-up lines that were pretty creative. I will say (which I am sure will stir the pot), that you all look way more professional then we did, brows on FLEEK, guys with suits and better cologne, but ya’ll don’t even talk to each other. What would you do without your phones at a party. In my day it was what would guys do without pockets to collect numbers.

Then you say options?? Well we enjoyed going to the Phil and Nate parties to see everyone one night, the other going to a Clubnet party, then a Leaks or LaChiNyc party here and there. Funky Buddha Thursdays and Dragon Room Sundays, what what?? There was one central party you KNEW everyone would be there and how did I know? The mailing list, YES, mailing list. I use to spread all the flyers on the table and put them in order according to the day of the week. My BFF and I would alternate who was driving and what night we would do Houston’s Steakhouse for dinner.

Are millennials more likely single then the X-ers were at that age?? OUR FAULT! We told you to travel and go places we couldn’t go, screw a relationship! We were too busy spending our money on expensive designer clothes. Bad Booooyyyy, take that take that. Thanks Puffy.. Versace and Gucci were everything. Now ya’ll got these sites you can buy cheap super cute clothes and shoes that don’t burn your feet like payless did. So Dubai is easy and I have learned more about other countries through you guys. Now don’t get me wrong, I have had fun with my passport but us X-ers went to Islands, not Continents. We ate jerk in Jamaica not Chicken Shawarma in Dubai. But we had a boo thang that we most likely aren’t with now or roll our eyes when they in the same room, but get excited when Chosen few comes so we can see the 10 ex-boyfriends or ex- girlfriends that don’t look as good anymore. We can’t jack like we use to and get excited about the same 10 songs.

Side note: What is up with this silent party thang happening. So we feel more comfortable not talking to each other more than normal? To the point that I would rather be listening to something different then you as I am texting who? Oh wait, no I am scrolling through my FB newsfeed, then snap chatting how much fun we are having. Wait how do I know if we are having fun if I am reporting all night about not talking to anyone, I’m confused.  Let’s not get into the fact there’s a lack of dancing, but I can’t even go there cause as I’m typing the arthritis in my knee hurts and I gotta stretch it.

So as I admire the Millennials journey to be great, as each generation should be better than the next. I hope your journey is captured in your hearts as much as it is captured in cyber space.
