Like so many young girls, life for you will be filled with the ups and downs of love, loss, hope, success, and hard work. Your life isn’t special in that regard but it is unique because there is only one of you. You are special and there are a couple of things that I would love to tell you as you embark on your journey.
First and foremost, plan for the long term. Chrishon, I know you love accomplishments, I love you eating at great restaurants, and I know you can be a traveling social-butterfly but think about your future. That is to say, pay yourself first and don’t touch it. Plan your events/outings wisely and know that you won’t miss anything if you decide only to turn up once a month.
Secondly, focusing on yourself means that your tolerance for the games that some guys play will be minimized. Don’t allow your romantic relationships with men detract you from your larger goals or prevent you from going after your personal interests. Furthermore, don’t play wifey when you don’t have a ring. If he wants to be with you long term, then let him put a ring on it.:)
Finally, don’t allow material possessions to become central to your life. Chrishon, remember your love for sunglasses, shoes, and sports should never become your idol. If you do the work and answer the call to become your own boss, not only will the materials come but you will appreciate them even more.
Chrishon, you are beautiful, your parents are incredibly supportive, and you have a work ethic that is unparallel to women your age. Keep focused on your goals and you will continue to come out on top!
